Bob and lynda were a riot ,so much was fun and laughter! That show brough out many folks such as Ed Gonzales(he also lives in PA and the time,Le...e Francis who may of lived in Florida,at that time-also..Brenda Gruber,Vonda Shilling and others for the first time. I was totally amazed that I had ben in the hobby since 1974 and just now was getting to meet artists and such. I still remember to this day all the Leech hores that I aquired, and remember looking at Ed's thinking wow,so very artistic...The photos are gone, but the memories will last forever...

The first Model Horse Congress I attended was in 1976. My sister and I talked our parents into driving us down there just to observe. My jaw pretty much drag...ged along the floor the whole time. I took a bunch of photos (remember 110 film?), which I still have.

Once it was explained to me, I decided that the next family vacation would be to Chicago... oh, and it would just so happen to be the week of the Model Horse Congress. The family could leave me at the show and go off sightseeing.

I jumped in with both ... See Morefeet. Entered the senior division and stayed up until 4am the day before the show so that I could show in performance... what was I doing? Well, you need tack to show performance and I had a pair of expendable vinyl sandals, some wire, and some glue. I made a huntseat set to fit my best horse that night and actually placed well in the class! Took a couple of championships that show too.

More to come!
