Very few test run Hartlands are known from the
early days of the company, and I consider myself incredibly lucky
to be the caretaker of several of them. Enjoy!

The pride of my collection, a test run woodcut
9" Saddlebred. This mold was never produced in woodcut for
unknown reasons, and this sample piece came from the collection
of a former Hartland employee.

This is the 11" Saddlebred mold in metallic
blue. She is a one of a kind test run from around 1967 that I purchased
from a former Hartland collector. She needs some touch ups here
and there, but I treasure her.

The 11" Arab in bronze. This model may have
been meant to be the sorrel model, but this bronze variation of
the color seems to be a one of a kind. It was probably made in 1968
and is pictured in Gail Fitch's Hartland book.

This funny little white horse is a very early
Hartland. He probably dates to the 1940's, and only a handful are
known to collectors. Interestingly, he glows in the dark.
