The Old Mold PAM in chalky bay, one of very few chalky models
produced in the late 1950s.. I know of only three or four of these
gals in chalky. I am looking to purchase the matching chalky PAF
if anyone has one for sale.

Chalkies were basecoated in white paint to hide
the discolored plastic underneath. The plastic used came in a variety
of colors---green as seen here with this stripped chalky, purple,
red, brown, grey, tan, swirly, etc.

|
Pearly models also date to the oil crisis years
of the mid-to-late 1970s. While not discolored, the plastic had
a definite irridescent cast as seen on this pearly Palomino Classic
QH Foal. Pearly plastic was used on only a handful of small molds,
like the classic foals, the Rearing Stallion, the Nursing Foal,
etc.
